1. Purpose and Scope
This Know Your Customer (“KYC”) Policy sets out the identity verification, due diligence, and monitoring procedures applied by Jacked Up Games Ltd (“Company,” “BetMighty,” “we,” “us,” “our”) to all Players (“you,” “Player”) who register an Account with us. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) obligations under our gaming license.
This Policy exists to:
- Verify that Players meet the minimum legal age for online real-money gambling;
- Confirm the identity of each Player;
- Prevent fraud, identity theft, and unauthorized use of Accounts;
- Detect and prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime;
- Comply with the licensing conditions imposed on us by our regulator and applicable law.
2. When Verification Is Required
We may require you to complete identity verification at any of the following points, at our sole discretion:
- Upon registration of your Account;
- Prior to processing your first withdrawal;
- When cumulative deposits, withdrawals, or wagering activity exceed thresholds set by our internal risk policies;
- Where your Account activity triggers an internal fraud, AML, or risk-management alert;
- Periodically, as part of routine or enhanced due diligence;
- Where required by our regulator or by a change in applicable law.
Failure or refusal to complete verification when requested may result in restriction of your Account, suspension of withdrawals, and, in certain circumstances, closure of your Account and forfeiture of funds in accordance with this Policy and our Terms of Use.
3. Standard Verification Requirements
To verify your identity and eligibility, we may request the following documentation:
3.1 Proof of Identity
- A valid government-issued passport, national identity card, or driver’s license, showing your full name, date of birth, photograph, and document expiry date.
3.2 Proof of Address
- A recent utility bill, bank statement, or government-issued correspondence (typically dated within the last three months) showing your full name and current residential address.
3.3 Proof of Payment Method
- Evidence that a payment method used to deposit belongs to you, such as a photograph of the front of a payment card (with the middle digits and CVV obscured), a bank statement showing the account holder’s name, or a screenshot of an e-wallet or cryptocurrency wallet confirming ownership.
3.4 Facial Verification
- A selfie photograph, or a short liveness/video verification, to confirm that the person submitting documents matches the identity document provided.
We reserve the right to request additional or alternative documentation where standard documents are unavailable, unclear, or insufficient to confirm your identity.
4. Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
We apply enhanced due diligence measures where a Player presents a higher risk profile, including but not limited to:
- Large or unusually frequent deposits or withdrawals relative to your typical activity;
- Deposits or withdrawals involving jurisdictions considered high-risk for money laundering or terrorist financing;
- Identification as a Politically Exposed Person (PEP), or a close associate or family member of a PEP;
- A match, or partial match, against sanctions, watchlists, or adverse-media screening;
- Inconsistent or suspicious account activity, including patterns suggestive of collusion or bonus abuse;
- Any other factor identified through our internal risk-based assessment framework.
Enhanced due diligence may include a request for source-of-funds or source-of-wealth documentation (such as payslips, tax returns, business ownership records, or documentation of inheritance or investment proceeds), more frequent transaction monitoring, and, where warranted, senior management approval before continuing the business relationship.
5. Age Verification
We do not permit any individual under the age of 18, or the minimum legal gambling age in their jurisdiction of residence (whichever is higher), to register or maintain an Account. Age verification is conducted through the identity documentation described in Section 3, and may additionally involve automated age-verification database checks where available. If, at any time, we determine or reasonably suspect that a Player is underage:
- The Account will be immediately suspended and subsequently closed;
- Any deposited funds (excluding Winnings) will typically be returned to the Player, subject to identity confirmation, unless prohibited by law or regulatory direction;
- Any Winnings accrued will be void and forfeited;
- We may report the matter to relevant authorities where required.
6. Source of Funds and Source of Wealth
Where your deposit or withdrawal activity meets thresholds defined in our internal risk policies, or where enhanced due diligence is triggered under Section 4, we may require you to demonstrate the lawful origin of the funds used on the Service. Acceptable evidence may include, but is not limited to: payslips or employment contracts, business or company financial records, tax filings, sale-of-property documentation, inheritance documentation, or investment/brokerage statements. We reserve the right to restrict Account activity until satisfactory evidence is provided.
7. Sanctions and PEP Screening
We screen Players against applicable international sanctions lists and PEP databases at registration and on an ongoing basis. Where a Player is identified as being subject to sanctions, we will not process transactions for that Player and will take any further action required by applicable law, including reporting to relevant authorities. Where a Player is identified as a PEP or a close associate of a PEP, enhanced due diligence under Section 4 will apply.
8. Ongoing Monitoring
Verification is not a one-time event. We conduct ongoing monitoring of Account activity throughout your relationship with us, including:
- Monitoring transaction patterns for consistency with your declared profile and expected activity;
- Periodic refresh of identity and address documentation, particularly for higher-risk or long-standing Accounts;
- Automated and manual review of unusual deposit, withdrawal, or wagering behavior;
- Re-screening against sanctions and PEP lists on an ongoing basis.
9. Document Handling and Data Protection
All documents and information submitted for verification purposes are:
- Collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
- Stored securely, with access restricted to authorized compliance and support personnel on a need-to-know basis;
- Retained for the period required by our gaming license and applicable AML/financial-crime legislation (typically a minimum of five years from account closure or the completion of the relevant transaction, whichever is later);
- Not used for any purpose other than identity verification, fraud prevention, AML/CTF compliance, and regulatory reporting, except as otherwise disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
10. Consequences of Failed or Incomplete Verification
Where a Player does not complete requested verification within a reasonable timeframe, or where documentation provided is fraudulent, inconsistent, or insufficient, we reserve the right to:
- Suspend the Account and restrict further deposits or wagering;
- Withhold pending withdrawals until verification is completed;
- Close the Account and, where permitted by law and our license conditions, return verified deposited funds while withholding unverified Winnings;
- Report suspected fraudulent documentation to relevant authorities.
11. Third-Party Verification Providers
We may engage licensed third-party identity-verification, credit-reference, and fraud-prevention service providers to assist in confirming your identity, age, and risk profile. These providers are contractually bound to protect your information consistently with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
12. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to decline to establish or continue a business relationship with any individual where we are unable to complete satisfactory verification, where verification reveals information inconsistent with our risk appetite, or where required by our regulator or applicable law.
13. Regulatory Cooperation
We cooperate with our licensing authority, financial intelligence units, and law enforcement agencies in relation to KYC and AML matters, including the provision of Player information where legally required, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may amend this KYC Policy from time to time to reflect changes in regulatory requirements, our license conditions, or our internal risk-management practices. The updated Policy will be posted on the Site with a revised effective date, and continued use of the Service following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
